Clowns Earn Late 4-3 Win
|
The Indianapolis Clowns turned back the Syracuse Snappers, 4-3, at Snapper Park. Jeremy Britt, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Monroe Black earned the save for Indianapolis, his 1st of the year. The Clowns have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 10th win in 30 games.
Britt had an important at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the sixth, when he hit a 2-run single. The Clowns went on to win.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Britt told the Indianapolis Bulletin.
