Kodiaks Deal Blues 7-4 Defeat
|
In the 7-4 California win over Windy City, the impact of Stan Sikes was substantial. Sikes, who finished 5th in the IL in hits with 174 in 2057, went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The winner was Neal Forsberg in relief. His record improves to 1-0. R.V. Weatherby took the loss. Logan Osborne finished to wrap up his 8th save.
California took a 6-4 lead on Damien Sidamon's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Windy City pitcher R.V. Weatherby in the bottom of the seventh.
"The vibe's good," said California manager Louie Sumski. "We've got to keep it going."
California, now 21-7, is setting the league on fire so far.
