Hartford wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Derian Romary, falling to the Maine Guides, 5-2. Romary threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Maine reliever Al Williams picked up the win to move to 3-0. Graysen Thomas suffered the loss. Turk Zander was credited with the save for Maine, his 1st of the season.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Eli Tracy came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Hartford pitcher Graysen Thomas, he hit a 2-2 slider for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Maine on top, 4-2.

Tracy told a Maine Gazette reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

Maine goes to 13-14.
