Pilots Squeeze By Denver, 6-5
|
The Seattle Pilots besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Denver second baseman Oscar McKinney by beating the Bulls, 6-5, at The Port of Seattle. McKinney went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Seattle goes to 19-8 with the win.
Seattle got a clutch hit from Parker Lee. The first baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"This place was electric at the end," Lee said.
