The Syracuse Snappers overcame a good performance by New Orleans first baseman Nathan Stiso to knock off New Orleans, 9-8, at Snapper Park. Stiso went 6 for 9 with 2 doubles, 4 singles, and a walk. Jamie Matchett notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Syracuse now has a record of 13-14.

The most significant at-bat for Syracuse came with the bases empty in the bottom of the 17th. Snappers center fielder Asher Kappler hit a solo home run to win the game.

"This place was rockin'," said Kappler.
