Carr Hits Two Dingers, Pilots Win, 7-1
|
The Seattle Pilots beat the Philadelphia Freedom by a score of 7-1. Seattle right fielder Ryan Carr deserved the lion's share of the credit. Carr belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Pilots. Early on, the Pilots, at 21-5, have excelled.
With Seattle leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Carr hit a changeup from Elliot Caldwell for a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Pilots ahead, 4-0.
"We had a nice day," said Seattle skipper Masuho Ogawa.
