DeGasperis Pitches Guides to 7-0 Win
The Santo Domingo Rum Runners were almost helpless today in their 7-0 loss to the Maine Guides and hurler Devon DeGasperis. DeGasperis kept the Rum Runners confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to DeGasperis," Santo Domingo manager T.J. Kintzer said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 28-year-old left-hander had no walks and 13 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," DeGasperis said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
