Bulls Top Cyclones, 3-0, Behind Owens
|
The Denver Bulls got great pitching from three-time All-Star Mardy Owens, allowing them to bump off the New York Cyclones, 3-0. New York, now 3-16, continues its dreadful start.
In his 90-pitch effort, Owens allowed no runs on 1 hit over 8 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 3.
"Mardy -- I just love the competitor in him," said Bulls manager Joey Lindauer.
