Donte' Escarcega, who led the IL in wins with 19 in 2066, was terrific for the Pawtucket Patriots in his team's 2-0 triumph over the Montreal Exports. His performance earned Escarcega rave reviews. Escarcega, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up no walks. The Exports fall to 6-11.

Pawtucket used the timely hitting of Drew Foster to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Patriots on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Donte' is a tough competitor," said Pawtucket manager Jimmy Williamson.
