A 4-RBI performance from the 22-year old first baseman Edgar Pollert helped the New Orleans Voodoo beat the Santo Domingo Rum Runners, 6-5. Deshaun Alohalani earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. His record is now 2-0. New Orleans, now 12-4, is playing great baseball to start the year.

Pollert had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch slider from Cody Jacobs, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Voodoo a 6-5 lead. It was the 2nd double of the year for Pollert.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Pollert.
