Behind an impressive start by Payton Durst, New Orleans beat Santo Domingo, 5-1. Jonah Gower picked up the save for New Orleans, his 4th of the year. The win gives New Orleans a record of 9-7.

New Orleans relied on the hitting of Daryl Walken to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Voodoo on top, 3-0. For the game, Walken had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Durst told the New Orleans Daily News.
