Muckdogs Win Thriller, 4-3
|
Batavia Muckdogs starter Heath Day pitched a strong game against the Washington Bats at North Shore Dog Park, leading the Muckdogs to victory, 4-3. The winner was Dalton Chadwick in relief. His record improves to 1-0. J.P. Lovins took the loss. The Muckdogs, with just their 3rd win in 15 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
Batavia won the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. With no outs and J.P. Lovins on the mound for Washington, second baseman Robbie McGath hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Muckdogs fans to their feet.
"I like what I saw today," said Batavia manager Ron Rotold, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
