Freedom Win at Home, 5-3
|
The Philadelphia Freedom picked up a win at Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower Field, knocking off the Batavia Muckdogs, 5-3. Starting pitcher Ray Record was a big reason why. Nic McClelland closed it out for his 4th save. The Freedom, now 5-10, have not found much traction so far in 2069.
In the bottom of the fifth, Lucas Rooker delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Philadelphia first baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Freedom in front, 5-3.
"Felt great, felt really good," said Record.
