Slumping Exports Lose 7th Straight
The Windy City Blues faced a tough opponent in Montreal pitcher Holden Ritchey, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Jistic Field by a final score of 4-3. Ritchey went 7.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Reliever R.V. Weatherby picked up the win. His record improves to 3-7. Dakota Stockwell, who is tied for 4th in the DL in holds with 10, took the loss. By defeating Montreal, the 4th-place Blues improved to 59-75.

Lucas Doyle was the walk-off hero for Windy City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blues left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Sometimes, you can be too aggressive," said Montreal manager Israel Montero. "You need to let the game come to you."
