Phoenix Wins, Stephens goes 3-for-4
|
The Phoenix Roadrunners handed the Seattle Pilots a 6-3 defeat at The Port of Seattle. Left Fielder Spencer Stephens starred for Phoenix. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The save went to Powell Achber, number 1 for him. The loss puts Seattle at 1-1.
Cole Sheils drew 1 walk for Phoenix. The 23-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Shavar Hannan. It was his 1st walk of the season.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Sheils.
