Muckdogs Deal Freedom 4-2 Defeat
|
The Batavia Muckdogs picked up a win at Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower Field, taking down the Philadelphia Freedom, 4-2. Starting pitcher Jovan Burrow was a big reason why. Burrow yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-1. Gerald Tura earned the save, his 3rd, for the Muckdogs.
Batavia used the hitting of Henry Keddie to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Muckdogs on top, 3-0. For the game, Keddie had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Keddie called the win "a collective effort."
The win gives Batavia a record of 9-5.
