|
The Hartford Whalers picked up a win at Kennywood Park, knocking off the Pittsburgh Millers, 4-0. On the mound for Hartford was left-hander Jamel Thomas, who played a pivotal role in the win. Jamal Brown got credit for the save for Hartford. It was his 4th of the year. The defeat makes Pittsburgh 6-8.
Thomas gave Hartford a solid start. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8.1 innings.
"Enjoyed this one," Thomas told the Hartford Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
