Bats Win 5-4 Walk-Off
|
Washington right fielder Louis Hockney helped his team beat the New York Cyclones, 5-4. Hockney, who finished 3rd in the IL in slugging percentage with .551 in 2057, went 2 for 2 for the Bats. The winner in relief was Rashaan Loomans. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 1-2. The Bats bumped their record to 71-58 with this win.
Josiah White was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bats left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," White said after the game.
