Blues Take Tight Tilt, 4-3
|
Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Joseph Flynn, the Philadelphia Freedom lost to the Windy City Blues, 4-3. Flynn was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. A.J. Stillman earned the win to go to 12-7. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 8 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. Rashan Runako earned the save, his 3rd, for the Blues.
Windy City used the bat of Ty Dec to capture the win. The designated hitter jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Blues ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Philadelphia manager Hector Ruiz said following the tough loss.
Windy City is 5th in the Import League Bock Division with a record of 58-66.
