Starting pitcher Zack Watts did his part in helping the Syracuse Snappers thwart the Santo Domingo Rum Runners, 2-1. Syracuse reliever Dallas Jordan was the winner. His record is now 6-5. Denver Benson took the loss. The Snappers go to 60-67, putting them 4th in the Domestic League Ale Division.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Syracuse. That's when Preston Trouten hit a run-scoring double off three-time All-Star Denver Benson to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"It was terrific getting this win," Watts said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
