The Carolina Tobs beat the Batavia Muckdogs, 3-2. Carolina pitcher and Washington, District of Columbia, native Keegan King led the way. The win has Carolina at 2-0.

Gavin Beard was the walk-off hero for Carolina. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tobs right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Keegan showed what he's made of," said Carolina manager Manny Padilla.
