Syracuse Snappers starter Douglas Okeyo was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Santo Domingo Rum Runners, 4-3. Syracuse, at 59-67, sits in 4th place in the Domestic League Ale Division.

Had Richie Agyeman not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Agyeman hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Snappers.

"Douglas is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Syracuse manager Jesse Meltzer.
