Blues Get One-Run Win at Philadelphia
|
The Windy City Blues downed the Philadelphia Freedom, 7-6, at Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower Field. The Blues were led by Ty Dec. He went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Philadelphia, at 45-78, has lost 5 straight.
Windy City used the timely hitting of Adrien Jimenez to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blues on top, 7-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll take this win and move on," said Jimenez.
