Bulldogs Go Down to Defeat, 4-2
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Washington Bats got the win.
Despite a great performance by Baltimore catcher Kyle Dodiry, the Washington Bats defeated the Bulldogs by the score of 4-2 at The Capitol. Dodiry was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The victory gives the Bats a record of 67-56.
Neall Rabah had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With one out and the bases loaded, the Washington third baseman hit a 2-run single. That put the Bats in front, 4-2.
After the game, Washington manager Pat Fiume applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
