McAnally Helps Batavia Cruise to 11-2 Win
The Batavia Muckdogs met little resistance from the Baltimore Bulldogs, beating them, 11-2, at North Shore Dog Park. Avon McAnally led the way. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for Batavia. The Muckdogs improved their record to 62-61 by beating Baltimore.

Greg Helm had a big 2-run home run for the Muckdogs in the bottom of the second inning. With Batavia leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Wyatt Laginess, who is tied for 6th in the IL in quality starts with 16, and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Muckdogs on top, 3-0.

"The Muckdogs definitely had our number," said Baltimore manager Mike Dominquez.
