The Syracuse Snappers got a sterling performance from pitcher Kurtis McClellan, but the Santo Domingo Rum Runners still prevailed, 3-1. McClellan threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The Rum Runners raised their record to 46-70.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Dylan Macias came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Syracuse pitcher Jamie Matchett, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Santo Domingo on top, 2-1.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Macias.
