Millers Lose, 3-0, at Old Port Park

The Maine Guides got a magnificent effort from pitcher Dave Hunt, who kept Pittsburgh hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Guides win at Old Port Park. Hunt got the win, improving to 6-7. He allowed no hits and walked 2 over 5 innings. Hunt allowed no runs. Parker Terry notched his 20th save in 25 chances.
With runs few and far between, the Guides had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Maine came in the bottom of the fourth inning, when third baseman Chase Hagarty delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Drew Henthorne and made the score 1-0, Guides. Hagarty was 2-4 with a double.
Hagarty said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
The second-place Guides have a record of 56-60.
