The Pawtucket Patriots got a stellar performance from pitcher Brad Zook, who handcuffed the Denver offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Rocky Top Park. Zook, now 7-8, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The save went to Ridley Diez, number 27 for him.

Pawtucket used a clutch at-bat from Christopher Galluzzo to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Patriots ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Galluzzo told a Pawtucket Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The Patriots improved their record to 59-51 by beating Denver.
