Tobs Pull Even With 4-2 Victory
The Carolina Tobs and Phoenix Roadrunners played an exciting game.

The Carolina Tobs picked up a win at The Birdnest, knocking off the Phoenix Roadrunners, 4-2. On the mound for Carolina was left-hander Chase Vaughan, who played a pivotal role in the win. Vaughan, now 9-9, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Earning his 15th save for Carolina was Joe Hodo.

Carolina relied on the hitting of Spencer DeSimone to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Tobs on top, 2-1. For the game, DeSimone had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Vaughan.

The win lifted the Carolina record to 52-52.
