Ware Helps Santo Domingo Cruise to 10-2 Win
Getting a good performance from right fielder Al Ware, the Santo Domingo Rum Runners defeated the Pawtucket Patriots, 10-2. Ware hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Rum Runners. The first-place Rum Runners, at 66-41, lead the Domestic League Lager Division by 2½ games.

Santo Domingo used the hitting of Micah Lumsden to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Rum Runners on top, 6-0. For the game, Lumsden had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Rum Runners manager Charles Campos.
