Indianapolis third baseman Marcus Schlamp had a good game, even if his team did not. The Clowns dropped a 4-3 decision to New Orleans at Henry Byrd Field. Schlamp was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Parker Zielenski got credit for the win, improving to 4-4. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. The Voodoo, now 54-50, have won 8 in a row.

New Orleans got a clutch hit from Noel Menes. The right fielder launched a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Young guys to old guys," said Menes, "we're all going out there and doing what it takes to win."
