Bats Take Down Cyclones, 10-7, in 10
Spirited fans greeted the New York Cyclones for their clash with the Washington Bats.

Washington catcher Karter McClatchie was instrumental in helping the Bats triumph, 10-7, over the New York Cyclones. McClatchie went 4 for 6 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Dave Childers, now 4-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings.

Nathan Stiso was 1-5 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Washington. The two-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Payton Cooke. It was his 27th RBI of the season.

"There's a warrior mentality with this team," said Bats manager Pat Fiume.

The first-place Bats, at 59-43, lead the Import League Stout Division by 6½ games.
