Sharks Drop 5-1 Decision to Roadrunners
The Phoenix Roadrunners knocked off the Los Angeles Sharks, 5-1, in Import League action at Shark Park. Phoenix pitcher and Moreno Valley, California, native Holt Wegener had an outstanding performance. The win lifted the Phoenix record to 54-41.

The Roadrunners got a big at-bat from designated hitter Cole Sheils. For the game, Sheils went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Phoenix a 2-0 lead.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Sheils said after the game.
