Denver Roughed Up By Voodoo
|
The New Orleans Voodoo stopped the Denver Bulls, 9-2, at Henry Byrd Field. The Voodoo got a big game from Dillon Elliott, who went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Miles Licon earned the win, while fireballing right-hander Jonas LaBelle took the loss for Denver. Denver falls to 7-3.
With New Orleans trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Elliott hit a slider from Jonas LaBelle for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Voodoo ahead, 4-2.
"What a lackluster performance," lamented losing manager Ed Gainer.
