Bats Hand Bulldogs 7-3 Loss
|
Washington picked up a win at Hurricane Rice Arena, toppling the Baltimore Bulldogs, 7-3. Pitcher Collin Jackson was one of the reasons the Bats triumphed. Jackson, now 8-9, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Darius Huschke earned his 25th save in 28 chances.
Washington relied on the hitting of Evan Wilson to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the second inning to put the Bats on top, 3-0. For the game, Wilson had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It was a solid team effort," said Wilson after the game.
Baltimore's current losing streak is now 4 games.
