The Wilmington Sorcery defeated the Indianapolis Clowns in 10 innings, 8-4, in part because of second baseman Corey Hughes. Hughes went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Sorcery. Richard Dobson picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Devon DeGasperis suffered the loss. Wilmington, at 55-30, is 2 games up in the Domestic League Lager Division.

Kermit Meaux aided the Wilmington cause with a 2-run single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"I'll play 10 innings, I'll play 20," said Sorcery manager D.J. Luna. "Whatever it takes to win the ballgame."
