Sidewinders End Leon Streak Wednesday, April 17th , 2013 Maxwell Leon, second baseman for the Las Vegas 51s, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 4 tries against the Tucson Sidewinders. Not only did the Sidewinders break his 23-game hitting streak, they also beat Las Vegas by the score of 6-5. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Leon said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." |
