Mondesi Gets Number 2500 Tuesday, June 9th , 2009 It was a banner day for Raul Mondesi, who collected his 2500th hit in the Los Angeles 13-8 win over St. Louis. Mondesi went 2-for-4 in the game as both Dodgers and Cardinals fans cheered Mondesi when he reached base after his hit. "It feels great to get #2500," Mondesi said afterward, "especially since we won the game." Mondesi's career batting average stands at .281, and he has 491 home runs.
