New York Blanks White Sox, Hernandez Wins

Felix Hernandez of the New York Yankees shut out the Chicago White Sox, 8-0, at Yankee Stadium, holding them to 5 hits with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts.
Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, Chicago skipper Carlton Fisk called the outing from Hernandez "a jewel."
"The way Hernandez was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," he said.
In 29 starts this season, Hernandez has crafted a 12-10 record with a 4.61 ERA.
