Hamilton Claims AL Batter of the Month Award Saturday, September 1st , 2012 To survive in the bigs, you've got to be a scrapper like Josh Hamilton. It never pays to take a day off from the batting cages or to shrug off the advice of the hitting coach. It all paid off today as Chicago's left fielder pinned down the AL Batter of the Month trophy today. He hit .375 in August collecting 6 home runs, 22 RBIs and 23 runs scored. So far this year, Hamilton is hitting .292 with 22 home runs. |
