Tom Bennett Out for Season Friday, September 25th , 2009 The season is ending on a bad note for Tom Bennett, starting pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Bennett was hurt against the Atlanta Braves while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will be out for at least 12 months. This year Bennett has posted a 7-12 mark in 31 starts and has a 5.03 ERA. |
