Number 2500 for Lopez Friday, August 14th , 2009 By going 1-for-4 in the Atlanta 5-3 win over Colorado, Javy Lopez reached the 2500-hit mark. The Turner Field fans, friend and foe, burst into applause and Lopez's teammates hugged and congratulated him on his achievement. "The guys began the countdown weeks ago," said the newest member of the 2500 Club. "I don't know who was more excited -- them or me."
