Cardinals Bang Out 7-2 Win Versus Atlanta
|
The St. Louis Cardinals reigned over the Atlanta Braves in damp conditions.
The Cardinals grabbed a win, 7-2, at Busch Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Atlanta pitcher Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. St. Louis is now 3-3.
St. Louis took a 6-2 lead on Rickie Weeks's 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Weeks hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Atlanta pitcher Jim Miller visibly frustrated.
Weeks said his team "played with focus."
