Angels Suffer 8-6 Road Loss
|
The Milwaukee Brewers withstood an impressive performance by Anaheim designated hitter Isrrael Osorio to defeat the Angels, 8-6, at Miller Park. Osorio was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Tony Pena earned the win for Milwaukee. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 4-4. The last-place Brewers hiked their record to 24-31.
In the bottom of the fifth, Milwaukee right fielder Jordan Aguilar had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Aguilar stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 6-4, Milwaukee. For the game, he was 2-4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Brewers manager Mario Reeves. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
