White Sox Need Extra Frames to Get Past Angels
|
Chicago pitcher John Lackey had a large part in his team beating the Anaheim Angels, 11-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. With the loss, Anaheim falls to 4-2.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Jordan Padilla came to bat in the top of the 13th. Facing Anaheim pitcher T J Beam, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Chicago on top, 4-3.
"Our guys refused to lose," said Padilla.
