The Toronto Blue Jays picked up a win at Skydome, courtesy of Jared Wells. The right-hander helped his team stop the Cleveland Spiders, 1-0. The 4th-place Spiders have dropped 6 straight games.

Wells, who dominated for Toronto, earned the victory to move to 4-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 6. Cleveland batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"We didn't score," said losing manager Larry Rothschild. "That was the problem."
