New York picked up a win at Yankee Stadium, bumping off the New York Mets, 4-3. Pitcher Cory Riordan was a major reason the Yankees emerged victorious. The winning pitcher was Riordan, now 3-2. New York took a 4-3 lead on Aramis Ramirez's 13th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Ramirez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left New York pitcher Scott Vander Weg visibly frustrated.
