Mariners Beat Visiting Brewers, 7-1

Seattle turned a good effort from starter Nick Green into a win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Safeco Field. The Mariners won the game, 7-1. Green got the win, improving to 3-3. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Seattle is now 18-26, while Milwaukee is 19-27.
Shortstop Erick Aybar made an impact for Seattle, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Mike Rivera in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Aybar went 1 for 3 with a double.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Mariners manager Jeff Griggs, "I like our chances."
