Pirates Get Past Chicago for 7-6 Win
The inspired effort of Chicago third baseman Carlos Guillen was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-6, to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Guillen was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Enmanuel Duran closed the door for Pittsburgh, picking up his 1st save of the year. The loss has the Cubs at 0-5.

Pittsburgh went in front, 7-6, on Orlando Hudson's 2nd double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Hudson hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Chicago pitcher Luis Avilan visibly perturbed.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Hudson said after the game.
