Johnson Goes on Rampage Against Zephyrs
Toledo Mud Hens third baseman Chris Johnson had a day to remember at Shrine on Airline, ripping apart the New Orleans Zephyrs and sparking the 11-2 Mud Hens win.

Johnson wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5.

"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Johnson told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."

Chris Johnson singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
