Angels Claim Late Win
|
Angels right fielder Chris Testa left his mark on his team's 6-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. Testa, who led the AL in triples with 8 in 2010, went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Anaheim in the contest. With the loss, Toronto falls to 13-20.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Billy Butler came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Toronto pitcher Philip Wilson, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Anaheim on top, 2-1.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Testa told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
