Blue Jays Deal Brewers 7-3 Defeat
|
Kelvin Vazquez powered the Toronto Blue Jays to a win over the Milwaukee Brewers. The final score was 7-3. The Toronto third baseman, who is tied for 6th in the AL in bases on balls with 16, was a force to be reckoned with. He banged out 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Toronto reliever Joe Nathan was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Craig James. Toronto is now 11-18.
PantaliĆ£o Lima hit a 2-run double off Craig James in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Blue Jays in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Lima had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"Kelvin is still learning," said Blue Jays manager Carlos Delgado. "The sky's the limit for him."
