McCutchen Shines in 10-5 New York Win
|
New York took on Atlanta in front of a lively crowd.
Andrew McCutchen knocked in 3 runs to help New York beat Atlanta, 10-5. McCutchen produced 2 singles, 1 double, and 1 home run. The Mets, now 15-8, have played well so far.
McCutchen contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for New York in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-1, McCutchen took a fastball from Ivan Nova and stroked the home run to center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Mets to leap in front, 4-3.
"This was one of those games you love to be a part of," said McCutchen.
